Configuration of SMTP Mail Server

This document provides information on how to configure the SMTP mail server TESTaide will utilize to send e-mail notifications to the user.

Mail Settings

To configure the SMTP mail server, follow these steps:

  1. Click the '⚙ Settings' button in the header.

  2. Select the ‘Mail Settings’ menu on the sidebar.

  3. On the mail setting page, enter the information as follows in the table below:

  4. Click the ‘Connection Test’ button to test. If the connection test fails, check if you have entered any incorrect information.

  5. If the connection test is successful, click the ‘Save’ button to complete the mail configuration.

Subject prefix

(Optional) This will be the prefix attached to the subject field of the e-mail notification.

SMTP host

Enter the host address of the server.

Example address: mail.curvc.com or smtp.curvc.com

SMTP port

Enter the SMTP port number to use.

Username

(Optional) The username to use when connecting to the mail server.

Password

(Optional) The password to use when connecting to the mail server.

Connection Time (seconds)

Maximum time that TESTaide tries to send emails before refusing the connection. The default value is 60 seconds.

Enable Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)

(Optional) To enable SSL, the SMTP server requires encryption.
