This document depicts how to manage test suites in odi test manager.



Pre-conditions

It is crucial to obtain a "Create Plan/TC" role in prior to be able to manage test suites. You may refer to User Management for detail


Manage test suites

Create a test suite

Please follow steps below in order to create a test suite in odi test manager

  1. Move into a project by clicking "Project" menu at the top, choose a project by clicking either a key or project name from projects listed
  2. Click "Test Suites" from the left side bar
  3. A "TestSuites" page may appear. Click a "Create TestSuite" button at the top-right corner
  4. A "New TestSuite" dialog appears. Enter following information accordingly:
    1. TestSuite Name
    2. Description
    3. Tags
  5. Press the "Save" button at the bottom of the dialog to save the information


Add test cases into a test suite

Following steps are needed in order to add a test case into a test suite

  1. Move into a project by clicking "Project" menu at the top, choose a project by clicking either a key or project name from projects listed
  2. Click "Test Suites" from the left side bar
  3. Choose and click a Key of a test suite from TestSuites in the list to get into the test suite 
  4. click an "Add TestCases" button from the panel at the bottom named "TestCases" to add test cases into the test suite selected
  5. An "Add TestCases" dialog may appear. choose and tick (a) test case(s) from the list to add into the test suite and then click an "Add Testcases" button.


Delete test cases from a test suite

Following steps are needed in order to delete test cases from a selected test suite

  1. Move into a project by clicking "Project" menu at the top, choose a project by clicking either a key or project name from projects listed
  2. Click "Test Suites" from the left side bar
  3. Choose and click a Key of a test suite from TestSuites in the list to get into the test suite 
  4. From the list, choose a test case to delete and click a "Delete" button from the "Action" column of the test case chosen
