This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to manage the categories available to the different test cases in a project. The category management can be accessed by selecting the desired project, clicking the ‘Project Settings’ option from the left-hand navigation menu & clicking on the ‘Category’ option. This will redirect you to the management page for the project categories.

If the project is newly created, you will be able to see the ‘Home’ category, this is a default category included with all newly created projects, you can rename this category as you will. Note that TESTaide requires at least ONE category at all times. As such, you are not allowed to remove any category, including the default ‘Home’ category, if it is the last remaining category. |

Adding a new category
To add categories in the project:

In TESTaide home, select the project to add categories.

On the category management page, click the ‘More’ button to open a drop-down menu. From the drop-down menu, click the ‘Copy Category’ option.
