This document provides how to manage test suites.

To manage test plans, you need a permission such as Project Manager, Create Plan/TC … . For more information, please refer to Global Permissions.

  • A test suite is like a group of test cases. It is recommended to use when you need to group test cases instead of categories.

  • Even if the test case is the same, if it is included in different test suites, it is considered as a separate test case. So the test operates separately.

Create Test Suite

To create test suites:

  1. In TESTaide home, select the project to add a suite.

  2. Select the 'Project Suites' menu on the left sidebar.

  3. In the test suite page, click the ‘Create Test Suite’ button on the top right.

  4. In the ‘New Test Suite’ pop-up window, enter the following information.

    • Project Key* : The key of the selected project. (Fixed)

    • Test Suite Name* : The maximum length is 50 characters.

    • Description : The maximum length is 1000 characters.

    • Tags : You can search for test cases at the top Tag Search with that tag. (multiple inputs possible)

  5. Click the ‘Save’ button at the bottom to complete the test suite creation.


Edit Test Suite

To edit test suites:

  1. In TESTaide home, select the project to edit a suite.

  2. Select the 'Project Suites' menu on the left sidebar.

  3. In the test suite page, click the ‘Create Test Suite’ button on the top right.

  4. In the test plan page, select a test suite from the list you want to edit.

  5. In the test suite detail page, click the ‘More’ button on the top right. When a pop-up menu appears, select ‘Edit Suite’.

  6. In the ‘Edit Test Suite’ pop-up window, edit the test suite information. (Project Key & Test Suite Key cannot be edited)

  7. Click the ‘Save’ button at the bottom to save changes.


Delete Test Suite

To remove test suites:

  1. In TESTaide home, select the project to remove a suite.

  2. Select the 'Test Suites' menu on the left sidebar.

  3. In the test suite page, select a test suite from the list you want to remove.

  4. In the test suite detail page, click the ‘More’ button on the top right. When a pop-up menu appears, select ‘Delete Suite’.

  5. When the deletion confirmation pop-up window appears, click the 'OK' button to complete the deletion.


Add Test Case to Test Suite

To add test cases to a test suite:

  1. In TESTaide home, select a project with a test suite that you want to add test cases to.

  2. Select the 'Test Suites' menu on the left sidebar.

  3. In the test suite page, select a test suite from the list you want to add test cases.

  4. In the test suite detail page, click the ‘Add Test Cases’ button on the top right.

  5. In the ‘Add Test Cases’ pop-up window, select a test cases you want to add.

  6. Click the ‘Add Test Cases’ button to complete adding test cases.


Delete Test Case from Test Suite

To delete test cases in test suite:

  1. In TESTaide home, select a project with a test suite that you want to remove test cases.

  2. Select the 'Test Suites' menu on the left sidebar.

  3. In the test suite page, select a test suite from the list you want to delete test cases.

  4. In the test case panel below, click the ‘Remove’ icon besides the test case you want to delete from the test case list

  5. When the deletion confirmation pop-up window appears, click the 'OK' button to complete the deletion.


Changing Test Cases Order

There are two ways to change the order of test cases in a test suite:

Drag & Drop

  1. Click and hold the ☰ icon in front of the key of the test case you want to change the order of.

  2. Drag and Drop it to the desired location.

  3. Check the changed order.

Up & Down arrows

  • Click either the up or down arrow on the Action column for the test case you want to change the order of.
